National Development Party

[Brunei National Development Party] image by António Martins-Tuválkin, 24 June 2010

The National Development Party (NDP) has a handsome, banana-colored flag with the emblem depicting "the initial letters of the word "Parti" (Party) and the word "Pembangunan (Development) (Fa Fa); drawn in the shape of a drop of oil, symbolizing the country's resources for development." Ratio is 2:1. http://aspirasi-ndp.com/en/constitution/page2.htm

Judging from photos of actual emblems and flags (official items) (http://profile.ak.fbcdn.net/object3/12/38/n118514116458_4312.jpg, http://www.aspirasi-ndp.com/arkib/images/hmorshidi_kongres.jpg) it would seem that the whoever created the illustrations for the party “constitution” assumed that RGB green in full brightness is a suitable rendering for the actually used medium shade - which it is not. Besides, an actual flag photo suggests a thicker orle and a bigger emblem than as shown at http://aspirasi-ndp.com/images/bendera.gif.

The letters making up the drop are two Arabic letters fe, "فف" ("ff") or rather "فف", as the letters do not show ligation, but are nested in typical Arabic decorative calligraphy, to show the shape of a drop of oil.

The flag is green with the emblem, yellow, on the center and a yellow orle all around, apparently offset from the edges as much as its thickness, which is 10% of the flag’s height.
